Art & Rhythm is a hands-on, creativity-centered after-school program where students explore the connection between the natural world, visual art, music, and imaginative expression. Through open-ended projects and collaborative activities, students are invited to experiment with materials, sound, and creative storytelling in a supportive and playful environment.

Led by Raines Seeley, participants will engage with a variety of artistic mediums such as collage, drawing, music, and mixed media. Inspired by Raines’ background in outdoor and experiential education, Art & Rhythm encourages curiosity, confidence, and connection. The program emphasizes process over product, allowing students to follow their interests, take creative risks, and discover new ways of expressing themselves.

More about Raines: Raines Seeley grew up just down the street in Bath, Maine, in an outdoor-loving family. At a young age, she discovered her passion for canoe tripping at Keewaydin Camp in Temagami, Ontario, where she has worked for the past three years. In the summers, she spends her time leading 10 to 13-year-old girls on transformative canoe trips in wooden canvas canoes. This past fall, she worked at Keewaydin’s outdoor education center, leading week-long outdoor ed sessions for 5th through 8th graders. She graduated from Wellesley College in 2025 with a sociology major and an environmental studies minor, and is most interested in the ways in which our relationship with the outdoors and our environment can improve our relationship with ourselves and others. Alongside being a passionate student of the world, she plays a few instruments and is an avid hobbyist with interests in printmaking, ceramic art, collage, and other visual media. She is excited to jump into the after-school program on Monday afternoons!
