Enrollment for 2025-26 is open and spots are filling up fast. To begin the application process, please read the following instructions.

- 1Attend an event, schedule a 1-1 conversation, or visit with the Head of School to learn more about Brightfield.

Once we have received and reviewed all application materials, we will reach out to schedule a half-day visit for your child concurrent with a family interview with a member of our teaching team.
- 4If you selected “YES” to apply for flexible tuition on the initial application, our flex tuition coordinator will contact you with additional details and an application. Further details about our Tuition can be found here.

Depending on the grade your child is entering and the materials included in the application, we may schedule a time for additional academic assessment with our teaching team.

Receive your admissions decision! We will make admissions decisions by the beginning of April for families who have completed steps 1-5 by Monday, March 24th.

- 1Two teacher/mentor recommendation letters (emphasizing grade readiness)
- 2A copy of your child’s most recent progress report, test scores, or homeschool portfolio (if you are applying for Grade 1 we understand you might not have this)
- 3A piece of academic or personal work/product that showcases your child’s learning, along with the ability to share a story about it during a scheduled family meeting
Grades 5-8
- 1Two teacher/mentor recommendation letters (emphasizing grade readiness)
- 2A copy of your child’s most recent progress report, test scores, or homeschool portfolio
- 3A recent writing sample
- 4A recent math sample
- 5A list of 3 books that your child has read independently in the last year
- 6A written response to the following question: What does Community mean to you? (one paragraph of more)
- 7A nature observation (recorded on a blank piece of paper; this can include drawings and/or writing)
